Now entering its fifth year, our Summer Internship Programme is a unique opportunity for students to experience the exciting and demanding world of banking and finance.
Taking place over a 10-week period in the summer, the programme offers both interns and SEB the opportunity to ‘test drive’ each other in a challenging business environment while working on live business assignments.
Around 25 places are offered each year with half the assignments based in Sweden and the remainder in markets where there is a need to recruit. Previous years have seen interns in Norway, Finland, Germany, Lithuania and Latvia. The programme is demand-driven by SEB business units and operations in individual countries.
We are looking for professional, creative, driven and outgoing people with a genuine interest in financial markets and strong analytical skills. You should be competitive and be able to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining personal integrity and demonstrating good judgement.
The summer internship plays an important part in our push to recruit and develop the best people so we can maintain our leading position in northern Europe.
For interns, it is an opportunity to work with some of the top professionals in your specific area. You will be guided by an assigned tutor as well as a manager. The internship starts off with an introduction in Stockholm in June and ends with a presentation for managers, colleagues and other summer interns at the end of August.
Successful candidates will gain invaluable insight into a finance career and will broaden their employment opportunities. A number of our interns have progressed to a full time career within SEB.
