Head of Corporate Finance in London
Rob Rogers, Head of Corporate Finance in London for SEB Enskilda heads up the Equity Capital Markets team supporting clients in a range of Nordic equities-related transactions. These include IPOs, secondary issues, privatisations and share buy-backs.
This is Rob’s second spell of employment with SEB Enskilda. He initially joined the company in 1987 as one of two equity analysts responsible for covering the whole Nordic region – an area that is now covered by some 40 analysts. He moved into Equity Capital Markets in 1989 before leaving in 1995 to take up a role within Alfred Berg where he became joint head of corporate finance. He rejoined SEB Enskilda in his current role in 2000.
Rob holds an MA in Engineering from Jesus College Cambridge and qualified as a chartered accountant. He spent the early part of his career with KPMG, working in both London and Copenhagen.
“What initially attracted me to SEB Enskilda was that it was a very unusual bunch of people focusing on Nordic investments out of London. It was very different - less stuffy that many of its competitors and considerably more entrepreneurial,” he says.
“While it maintains this same spirit, there is also a big opportunity for SEB Enskilda going forward. The re-integration with SEB means that we are backed by a big balance sheet and we can explore the debt side of the business.”
Married to a Dane, Rob has two teenage children and enjoys travelling, skiing, waterskiing and scuba diving.
