Head SEB Poland, CRM
Describing himself as the Dane working for a Swedish bank in Poland, Mikael Overgaard has been acting head of SEB Poland since September 2010. He joined SEB in 2007 as head of commercial real estate and in 2009 he also assumed responsibility for CRM in Poland.
Based in Warsaw, Mikael heads up the 75-strong team in Poland and is responsible for the delivery of SEB’s core services in six main areas: Cash Management, Foreign Exchange, Trade Finance, Financing, Leasing and Factoring.
Mikael has enjoyed a varied career that has included positions as both the vice president of a Danish real estate development company and as a diplomat for the Danish government. He also worked for Danske Bank for more than 20 years. He graduated from Business School in Denmark.
He believes that what differentiates SEB is its belief in and support of individuals. “It really is a very people-focused environment, both in terms of nurturing and developing talent from within and, of course, in our day-to-day work of meeting the varied needs of our clients,” he observes.
When he has free time, Mikael enjoys hunting and mountain biking.
